Shopify online store integration

This guide explains how to enable the integration with a Shopify-based online store.

The Shopify integration is a free feature in SimplBooks. Once the integration is active, you can import Shopify sales into the software from the sales invoice view.

Enable the integration from Settings > Integrations > Shopify > Activate.

In the settings, enter the online store URL and the API token. These details can be found in Shopify settings.

The online store URL refers to the address visible in your browser’s address bar when you log in to the store. Copy the beginning of this address up to “/admin” into SimplBooks.

It is also worth checking the API user settings in Shopify. The image shows which roles must have “Read access” permissions. Other roles may have “No access” permissions.

Once the integration is active, a Shopify button will appear in the Import section of the sales invoice view.

If you use inventory tracking in SimplBooks, you can also use inventory products in Shopify. In that case, enter the product code saved in SimplBooks into the “SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)” field of the product (Products) in Shopify.
